10 Innovative Ways To Use Sample Packs For Unique Electronic Music And Techno Production In 2023

In the world of electronic music and techno, sample packs have become an essential tool for music production. However, with so many sample packs available, it can be challenging to create a unique sound that stands out. But by using sample packs in innovative ways, you can achieve a sound that is all your own. Here are 10 ways to creatively use sample packs for unique electronic music and techno production in 2023:

1. Experiment with Audio Effects

Firstly, Manipulate your samples with effects: Enhance your samples with audio effects like reverb, delay, and tremolo to give them a distinct character. Experiment with different effects chains and tweak them to taste to inspire new directions for your tracks.

2. Sequence with Sampler VSTs

Secondly, Sequence your samples with sampler VSTs: Sampler VSTs are powerful tools that allow you to take samples and easily sequence them into loops, apply effects, time stretch, chop, and more. Choose from a variety of sampler VSTs to find the perfect workflow for your samples.

3. Pitch and Time Stretch Samples

Thirdly, pitch and time stretch samples. Pitching and time stretching samples can completely change their character and give them a new life. Experiment with different pitch and time stretch settings to create new melodies and rhythms. Use pitch shifting to create harmonies and chord progressions, and use time stretching to create new grooves and beats.

4. Chop and Slice Samples

Fourthly, chop samples. Chopping samples allows you to take a small section of a sample and turn it into something new. Use a sample slicer or chop samples manually by slicing them up in your DAW. This technique is particularly useful for creating new beats and rhythms.

5. Layer Samples

Fifthly, layer samples. Layering samples is a great way to create new textures and sounds. Try layering different samples together and adjusting the volume, panning, and effects to create a unique sound. This technique is also useful for creating complex rhythms and beats.

6. Reverse Samples

Sixthly, reverse samples. Reversing samples can create interesting and unexpected effects. Try reversing samples and layering them with the original to create new rhythms and melodies. Reversing samples can also be used to create atmospheric soundscapes.

7. Use Granular Synthesis

Seventhly, add granular synthesis. Granular synthesis is a technique that involves breaking a sample down into small grains and manipulating them. This technique can be used to create new textures, rhythms, and sounds. Try using a granular synthesis VST to create new sounds from your samples.

8. Create Custom Samples

Eighthly, create custom samples. Creating custom samples is a great way to add a personal touch to your tracks. Try recording your own samples or using samples from everyday objects to create unique sounds. You can also use sampling techniques like resampling and granular synthesis to create custom samples.

9. Use Sidechain Compression

Ninthly, use sidechain compression. Sidechain compression is a powerful technique that can be used to make samples fit better in a mix. Try using sidechain compression on your samples to create a pumping effect that helps them sit better in the mix.

10. Use Fourfloor’s Dark Techno Sample Pack – Complete Pack

Lastly, Fourfloor’s Dark Techno Sample Pack – Complete Pack offers a wide variety of exclusive, royalty-free hooks, loops, FX, vocals, beats, and more that can be used to create unique electronic music and techno sounds. RELEASE STORY

“Before the dawn of the end of your days come, pull the trigger. Kill the ego first, before the ego kills you.”

In a time of collective madness, Fourfloor is connecting the dots of a storyline that goes beyond the trend. As a non-conformist collection of past creations, Ego Murders is an album that celebrates the selfless self, which embraces judgement as motivation to create freshness. Each track is the result of the different types of “I” our ego plays with. We think we are one, but in reality we are one, no one and at the same time each one of the masks we wear everyday.

Royalty-Free Samples

What are Royalty-Free Samples?

Using samples in your music production can be a highly inspiring process. And it comes with a price, copyright is its name. In this article we will discuss what copyright means.

What are royalty-free samples?

The vinyl collection is also known as a good source of inspiration when it comes to sampling.

First of all, what is Sampling?

Sampling means taking a sample sound from an existing song and using it in your music production. This creative technique has been extremely popular in various music genres, especially in electronic music.
At first, this was not a copyright issue, until Hip Hop in the 1980s.

As Sampling became more and more popular, mainstream artists wanted to get their share. For this reason, artists had to pay for clearance to use audio samples in their songs. Artists had to deal with legal battles due to uncleared sampling.

What are royalty-free samples?

If you’re using software or hardware instruments to record the sounds, in this case, copyright is not an issue. What about sampling other peoples work? In this case, getting the owner’s permission in a form of a license would be a good idea.

This would usually mean paying a “royalty” for every project where samples are being used, every time the radio, a club or a commercial plays your song.
This sounds like a lot of work, right?

Luckily there’s something called “royalty-free samples”. This means that after you obtain a license, there’s no need to pay any additional royalty fees. Royalty-free sounds can be used in personal or professional projects like TV commercials or music production.

There are numerous sources where you can find royalty-free samples.
Just search for “royalty-free samples” or find high-quality free samples here.

Should I user samples?

Using samples is a known process. Famous artists like Mobi, Daft Punk, and The Prodigy have been sampling music.

The question is, why shouldn’t you?

Just make sure to be creative and read the sample license.

RELEASE STORY

“She was pure as the rising dawn. So saintly in her soul but so vicious in her mind. An angel of terror. In her heart, she knew everything but lust. Or mercy. “

Inspired by the story of Joan of arc, Virgin EP is open talk about the duality of life. Life as a symbol of ruthless virginity. The essence of creation that can’t take the form of a saint without being a killer at the same time.

This is the story of the Virgin and its battles depicted by a top-selling talent like Alex D’Elia in collaboration with Sharon JJ in a single that treasures all its boldness in an aggressive synth line with a semi-modular sound. It’s the story of her deviating thinking.

For the evolution of the storyline, Veztax contributed with a faster, pumping remix that offers a harder groove to give us a sense of her battles. On the other hand, Holzth made us participants of his darker vision with an ambiental almost cinematic approach that is able to make us feel the agony of her duty.

RELEASE STORY

“He had drunk from every river. There was nothing left in this dimension for him to discover until she came. Like a veil of disguised promiscuity. So moral, so innocent. So untouched that the mere thought of looking at her would hurt his soul. It was a crime, he knew God would not forgive him. ”

In an oversexualized society Fourfloor get’s inspired by a reflection on dogmas from the past that involve one of our deepest human needs. A sexual reflection transformed into music by a unique pioneer as Tomy DeClerque in collaboration with Aleksander Great. The fusion of two different and at times clashing minds, merging into two distinct Techno tracks with a faster tempo and some unconventional epic elements, including a symbolically charged vocal line in “Crime against Chastity”. Pushing forward the frontiers of production to an experimental level, the two artists created “Secular” as a bonus third tracks.

Holzth presents his perspective of “Arousal” with his typical harmonically embellished remix.
